You scored as Utilitarianism.

Your life is guided by the principles of Utilitarianism: You seek the greatest good for the greatest number.

--Jeremy Bentham

“Whenever the general disposition of the people is such, that each individual regards those only of his interests which are selfish, and does not dwell on, or concern himself for, his share of the general interest, in such a state of things, good government is impossible.”
--John Stuart Mill

How do some people update this friggin' thing every day? I neither have the time, the energy, nor the interesting-enough life to update the Blarg more than one day a week.

Anyway, I have JUST finished all of my assignments for school. Three more tests, and I. AM. DONE. Now, it's all a matter of getting accepted to university in the fall.

My biggest paper was 17 pages, and 5 000 words long. I'm planning on making it a book. Or something.

I've already ran out of things to say. My life just isn't that interesting.

It's Sad When A Muppet Dies...
04.03.05 (10:52 am)   [edit]
So, finally, the Pope is dead.

About fuckin' time.

I love how upset people are getting over this, like it's some kind of BIG surprise to them. The man has been dying for the past few years. He was 84 years old. He had Parkinsons. He had been SHOT IN THE CHEST. The fact he managed to live out the 20th Century, and still kick it for half a decade after, is astounding.

I love how people are also remembering him as a key figure in the "death" or "Communism." In order for something to die, it has to exist first. Meaning, and this will come as a big shock to some of you:

COMMUNISM HAS NEVER EXISTED!

What has existed, is a wide spectrum of "Revolutionary Socialism" and "State Capitalism." Sure, the Pope helped in getting Poland out of the Warsaw Pact, but the USSR was on its way down the toilet already.

How will I remember the Pope? Perhaps, the AIDS epidemic? You know, how he proclaimed that Condoms have microscopic holes in them, and encouraging millions of Africans not to use protection? Good work, old man. Now, Africa is a cesspool of HIV.

Or, how about his contempt for homosexuals? Or women priests? So, he opposed the Iraq War. Good for him. It doesn't, necissarily make him a progressive guy.

And in closing, I leave you with this question: If the Pope was destined for a wonderful afterlife in heaven, why did everyone around him want to keep him alive?

Until Next Time,

AL

You exhibit a very well-developed sense of Right and Wrong and believe in economic fairness.

And Now, Back To Your Regularly-Scheduled Program
03.27.05 (11:20 am)   [edit]
Hey Hey.

Don't worry, you won't see any radical opinions on Euthenasia today. Today, we delve back into my dull, boring life. What fun. :P

I spent the day, yesterday, with my girlfriend and her family. We had Samosas (East Indian potato pouches which are pretty damn spicy), and then went Mini-Putting. Most surprisingly, I didn't suck as much as I usually do during Minigolf, and actually hit some nice shots.

The next few weeks are going to suck BIG TIME. I have four projects due, and only one that I have anywhere done (oddly enough, it is almost finished). I'm only owrried about time management, actually. I HATE having everything cramped together.

Oh right, it's easter today, isn't it? Easter is not really celebrated by I, anymore. It's just another long weekend. Chocolate tends to make my teech ache, anyway. Bah.

Until next time,

AL

On Religion
03.23.05 (6:07 am)   [edit]
I would like to clarify something, here.

Yesterday, I ranted about the Euthenasia bullshit happening in Florida, and I said some rather derogatory things towards Christianity, possibly offending any Christian who happens to read this thing.

I appologize, only for the harsh language I use. I will not appologize for my stance on Christianity.

The course of my life has lead me to the conclusion that there isn't a god, that we all exist as a result of the Sun. As well, the course of my life has lead me to believe that most, MOST Christians, do not have any understanding of what Jesus preached and how he lived his life, and in turn, promote his bloody, savage death at the hands of one of the most brutal forms of execution ever devised, crucifixion.

If I have offended a Christian, or many Christians, or any religious or spiritual person, because of my beliefs, I do not, and will not appologize. I am an Atheist, and will most likely die an Atheist.

If you believe in a certain religion, good for you. I wish for it to bring your comfort and security in your life. I do not wish for it to be banished from Society altogether. However, when public policy is affected by religion, I get angry. Moses, nor Jesus, Mohammed, Brahma, or Buddha, have no place in Social policy of politics.

And besides, if there IS a Hell, I'd rather live there. Spending eternity, listening to loud, angry music and chatting it up with people like Attila the Hun and Mahatma Ghandi? It'll be worth the blinding torture. :P

Until Next Time,

AL

Attila The Hun Smells Like Fresh Paint. Also, What's So Bad About Euthenasia?
03.22.05 (10:17 am)   [edit]
Hello, Children.

My computer seems to be working its normal, not-so-fucked up self, but we'll see what happens. As long as it can survive until April...

This weekend's trip up north was pretty awesome. My bus home got cancelled, because of some stupid race. When will people learn? Physical Activity Sucks.

I acquired two new toys. The first being Death from Family guy(who, simply, looks awesome). The second being Attila the Hun by McFarlane Toys (VERY intricate. He also reeks of fresh paint).

Speaking of things that smell, someone in the States is marketing candels that smell like Jesus. Finally, peasant feet, festering leoparsy sores, and wood, all in one candle.

And now, it is time for a Rant:

In regards to the Terri Schiavo thing in Florida, I say this: Let Her Die. LET HER DIE. From what I understand, she's been in this condition for over a decade, and will not get better. Let her die. Many people decry Euthenasia, saying it violate's God's will, or something like that. To those who state that, I suggest them, that they move to the Middle Ages, when Church and State were buddy-buddy. I think it's fantastic that there are some people who are imaginative enough to make stories about what MIGHT have happened, including sadistic-yet loving father figures, and all the power to them. HOWEVER, when it comes to matters like, you know, Health, relationships, or politics, you know, Important things, leave them to secular rule.

Euthenasia, like abortion, isn't that bad. Why deny the option of death to those who are suffering from ailments they will never rid themselves with, or will grow up in a world, never feeling wanted?

Why is it, so many of the members and supporters of the Republican Party and the Religious Right, who scream on behalf of the "Scantity of Life..." support capital punishment and War?

That's all for my rant.

Until Next Time...

AL

Addendum: Computer SAVED
03.17.05 (4:50 pm)   [edit]
My computer is fixed. Thank goodness for French Canadian ex-Computer Technicians.

And yes, Sky, I have now DOUBLE password protected the machine.

FUCK FUCK FUCK
03.17.05 (4:34 am)   [edit]
There is no emoticon to express the level of anger I am experiencing right now.

Last night, my computer died. It was working fine in the morning, yet when I returned home, I found it littered with spyware, because my step brother decided he needed to beat off to pictures of teenagers.

Unable to remove the problem, I was forced to reformat. It should have been simple, as I have grown accustomed to reformatting the stupid machine, thanks to the actions of my dumbass, pervert family. HOWEVER, when I attempted to install Windows 98 SE, the computer kept telling me the "System Disk has an errorr." So, that only spells one thing: DEAD COMPPUTER.

It had been giving me this bizarre blue screen, every time I turned it on, for several months, yet I put up with it. This is the last straw.

Today, I'm going to talk to someone about a computer I saw in a store for $250. It's probably used, but I don't care: I NEED a computer right now. I have 5 assignments pending for school by the end of the month, and refuse to use the school's or my parent's computers (I need complete depervation from the outside world, when working on a paper).

In more pleasant news, spur of the moment trip up north this weekend. Yay!

Until next time,

AL

I Shoot Lightning Bolts From My Arse
03.06.05 (2:39 pm)   [edit]
Hello, my children.

I am writing this from that mysterious location up north I told you I was going to, last time I blarged. I will be spending one night more than planned, due to a certain city bus system that can't get its act together. Not that I'm complaining, I like being here. It's just, I was hoping to use this evening to finish up a report due Tuesday, leaving my Monday night relatively free. Oh well, I can work on it tomorrow afternoon.

Speaking of schoolwork, my big-ass independent study project (which, when completed, and if given a good mark, will be revealed, chapter by chaper, on TCR over the summer) is coming along nicely. I submitted my first draft to my seminar group to be reviewed, a good 12 pages (I have a few more paragraphs to write, and some sources to add). This thing is going to be fucking awesome, when done.

In wrasslin' news, the big deal is a sordid tale of infedelity and broken hearts, in regards to a situation including Edge, Matt Hardy, and Matt's now-ex Lita. Apparently, Lita and Edge were sleeping around, whilst Matt was unawares. Frankly, I am not taking sides on this, as the situation only concerns me, if their ring work is affected.

Within one month, I complete my tenure at the Community College I am attending, presently. In Spetember, I will be doing one of two things: Attending University, or, Joining the workforce for a year. But, from April, until Spetember-whenever the day after Labour Day is, I have FOUR MONTHS of free time. To those of you who are patrons of my website, look for BIG TIME happenings. I just have this month to get over.

Oh yeah, speaking of TCR, next update, MASSIVE update...I hope.

Until next time,

AL

Who Decided To Give Andy Dick His Own Reality Show?
03.02.05 (3:03 pm)   [edit]
Hey hey,

So far, this week, this is the only moment I've had to myself. School is very hectic now, as I am going up north this weekend, thereby sacrificing three days to work on a research assignment. Thank christ the semester is near over, and I get four months off.

Again, who gave ANdy Dick his own reality show? Who thought Andy Dick is remotely funny? And people thought Carrot Top was annoying...

That's all I got. See you later.

Of Popes, Gays, Aborted Foetuses, UFOs, and Procrastination
02.24.05 (6:06 pm)   [edit]
Hey hey.

Well, This week has been one of absolute sloth. I did absolutely NOTHING, in terms of schoolwork. This weekend, I think I'll be scrambling. Ah well.

So the Pope is dying...What do you expect from a old man with Parkinson's Disease, possible Pneumonia, and has been shot before? He looks more like a puppet now, than anything.

He also released a book, in which he claims that Same Sex Marriage and abortion lead to evil, and it destroys "The Family. You know what else harms "The Family?" Rapist priests. Honestly, what really is the big deal, about Same Sex Marriage and Abortion? I don't think there isn't a person alive, with the authority to tell people how to love, and, last I checked, Earth's population stands at over 6 Billion people...I think we've been fruitful, and multiplied enough.

I watched the ABC UFO Special, it was pretty cool. It was a professional report, I found. The only problem though, is that I felt that it didn't last long enough (2 hours). Believe me, I soak this stuff up like a sponge.

Next weekend, I make my way back up north. Yay for me.

Until Next Time,

AL

02.20.05 (7:24 am)   [edit]
Hey hey, everyone.

Finally, Reading break is HEAH!! Unortunately, it won't be so much a break, as I have a tremendous amount of work to accomplish. Oh well, there's only one assignment that I don't look forward to doing, so it's all good, I guess.

I felt particularly productive last night, so I moved almost EVERYTHING from TCR onto the new server. I forgot one comic, my first comic special...I'll do it later, as I have become lazy again.

Last night, on TV, they aired a special on the first 5 Years of SNL. It was pretty decent, and my only complaint is they ommited George Carlin as the first host (Perhaps I missed it, I dunno). Also, if anyone saw the same program last night, did they feature Andy Kaufman at all?

Tonight, apparently, Matt Groening hops on the bandwagon, as one of the Simpsons characters admits that they are a homosexual. If Matt Groening was so desperate to get people talking about the Simpsons again, perhaps he would invest as much effort into writing the program, as he did with Futurama. Oh Furturama....they cancelled the wrong Groening cartoon...

In closing, I leave you with a comic that was brought to my attention last night, Spamusement. The basis of the comic is that the writer takes subject lines from junk mail he recieves, and makes a one-panel comic out of them. It's reminicent to Gary Larson's "The Far Side." Very few things on the internet make me laugh, and this one had me in histerics last night, so you know it's good. Go have a gander.

IE = Broken
02.13.05 (3:53 pm)   [edit]
I think my Internet Explorer is broken. I attempted to go about updating like I usually do (saving a page I made on Geocities, and then uploading them onto my FTP server), however, IE 6 has decided to be a pain in the ass, and won't let me save my pages onto my computer. So, I had two options: Downgrade my IE, or save them through Firefox. I attempted Firefox, but that proved to be more work than was worth putting effort into. So I downgraded my IE 6 to IE 5, and am not too happy about it. I sure hope I don't have to reformat...My computer is dying already, as it is.

In other news, school is wrapping up nicely, and reading break is soon approaching. My history teacher decided to be more awesome than usual, and gave my class an extension on our paper. I still have to do some stuff for applied research class. I don't like that class too much.

In bitching news, I just saw a commercial for some kind of insurance plan, starring that guy who won all that money on Jeopardy. You'd figure he'd have enough money, but NOOOOOO... we had to be greedy and sign some endorsement deals. I hate money soo much.

Until next time,

AL

I'm Going To Eat At
02.09.05 (3:43 pm)   [edit]

Hello.

Today was a day of ups and downs.  I'm almost completely on top of all my school work for this month, es bueno.  I gots me a big headache, however.

I had a run-in with a local celeberty yesterday.  A TV Personality is working with my step-father on stuff with the local fire department, and she came to the door today, just as I was coming home.  I thought she was a solicitor.  Goes to show you just how local this celeberty is.

Right now, I'm listening to some Lewis Black comedy.  If you, for whatever reason, do not know Lewis Black, where have you been?

Until Next Time

You Know Who I Don't Like? Debra Messing.
02.06.05 (9:45 am)   [edit]

Hi hi hi, Mr. Deltoid!

What a goddam week.  February is off to a flying start.  Well, I personally have no complaints, other than the massive amount of homework I have to do.

Watching TV the other day, and an ad for Debra Messing's horrible romance comedy.  I HATE Will and Grace.  I do not see the comedic value of exploiting the homosexual community with exaggerated stereotypes, nor do I see the comedic value of rich people in New York bicker about thier quasi-interesting lives (which is why I think "Friends" sucked too).  And now, they give the skinny bitch a movie?  I just take comfort in the fact that it'll BOMB.

Speaking of Skinny Bitches...why do people want more Paris Hilton?  What, exactly, does she contribute to society?  I saw her on SNL last night, and let me say this...my television was lucky that I only had to put up with SNL for only half an hour (Back To The Future, Part Three was on CBC last night, Awesome movie), as I had the urge to lodge a brick through my television.

In other, less angry, more relevent news, I'm deep into season mode in WWF Wrestlemania 2000, with Edge.  Just after Survivor Series, I am a Former Hardcore Champion, current Euro-Continental Champion (European and Intercontinental, for all you marks), the King of the Ring winner, and unlocked Cactus Jack.  I had a WWF Title Match against Steve Austin, but I blew it.  Could have unlocked Dude Love, too.  BAH

Until Next Time,

AL

In Addition...
01.30.05 (7:58 pm)   [edit]

They went at it and Cena picked up Batista for the FU but Batista reversed into a spinebuster and then tossed Cena to the outside and Batista is going to WrestleMania! Batista has won the Royal Rumble!

Awesome.  B'TISTA f'n owns.

01.30.05 (6:38 pm)   [edit]

Hey hey.

I'm back from my nice, mini-vacation.  Had a GREAT time, pretty damn tired though. It's great seeing my girl. We actually went to a Sushi bar on Saturday.  Did I eat Sushi? HAHAHAHA No, I had beef Teriaki.  It was the most familiar thing on the menu.  I didn't even attempt to use chopsticks.

I also landed myself a copy of Wrestlemania 2000 for the N64.  It was AWESOME, back in 2000.  Now, It's just decent.  WWE Day of Reckoning has spoiled me.  However, I do appreciate a decent season mode, and a kickass PPV mode.

I'm halfway through Al Franken's book, "Lies," and I have a question...How is this guy nowhere near as notable as Michael Moore?  His book is CLEARLY better than both of Moore's book.  Oh, right...I forgot, the average American is deathly afraid of books...

Until Next Time,

Al

Sixth Level of Hell - The City of Dis

You approach Satan's wretched city where you behold a wide plain surrounded by iron walls. Before you are fields full of distress and torment terrible. Burning tombs are littered about the landscape. Inside these flaming sepulchers suffer the heretics, failing to believe in God and the afterlife, who make themselves audible by doleful sighs. You will join the wicked that lie here, and will be offered no respite. The three infernal Furies stained with blood, with limbs of women and hair of serpents, dwell in this circle of Hell.

Hello hello.

I'm glad it finally started to warm up, slightly.  Fucking cold weather.  And, I'm glad the snow was dry, after shoveling it all.  Bah.

This Thursday, I'm on my way up to see my girl, whom lives 3-5 hours away, in [CLASSIFIED]. I LOVE going to see her, not only because, you know, I get to see my girlfriend, but, the bus ride makes for an EXCELLENT time to catch up on the ever-piling books I have to read.  Unless, someone feels the need to strike up conversation (I'm not too chatty, when I'm tired on the bus).  I've got Al Franken's book to read, a Von Danekan book my girl lent to me to finish, and some others.  Yes, I'm one of the few people on the planet who actually reads books anymore, AND is under 50.

I also got my hands on a DVD I've been looking for since November, The Rise and Fall of ECW.  For those of you who don't know what ECW was... *SLAP*  Idiot.  ECW, as the founder, Paul Heyman, said (in one hell of an analogy), was the Nirvana to WCW and WWF's Def Leopard.  Go look it up.  The DVD itself was decent.  At some points, I thought it jumped all over the place, which could be disorienting for the casual fan (MARKS).  The content in it, however, was pretty damn sweet...even though the WWE Editing squad had to be goddam pussies, and censor all the "bad language."  And the extras...Well, I would have picked better matches to showcase, maybe even a Shane Douglas match.  Actually, as I think about it, the DVD COMPLETELY skipped over the rise of Steve Corino.  Fuckers.  They're just glad they satisfied me on Raven-Content.

I appologize, if the previous paragraph was confusing.  Then again, if you found it confusing, chances are you are a dirty, dirty mark.

Oh, and a heads up to TCR fans, there will be NO update this week.  Perhaps a blarg, while I'm at [CLASSIFIED].

Until Next Time,

AL

PS:  I'm glad Everybody Loves Raymond is going off the air.  I fucking hate that show.  Too bad everyone else is stupid thinks it's the next coming of Seinfeld.

No Hockey? No Problem.

Gutentag, TCR-Ites.

This week has been very, very, very long.  All week, nothing but cold.  Yesterday, it was something like -25 Celsius, WITHOUT windchill.  And, of course, the bus has to be late.  Fucking bus system.  Oh yeah, it so happens that, right now, all I can see is WHITE when I look out the window.  I'm just glad for snowblowers.

I also went to the Inquisitor-General orthodontist this week.  Buddy gave me the same old sassmouth. Oh...For those of you who don't know me, you'll come to realize that I have much disdain for dentists and orthodontists.  Bastards.

In video game news, The Philidelphia Flyers are the Stanley Cup champs in NHL2K3.  My team f'n owns.

Oh yeah, TCR's down for whatever reason.  And here, I have a comic ready...fuck.

Until Next Time,

AL
